Fall Activities During COVID

As October is coming up, it is officially fall. Even though this year is a little different from traditional years, there are still plenty of fun activities we can do during this time while social distancing. First of all, since Halloween is coming up, thinking of a fun costume to wear during Halloween is always a great option. Even though it may be hard to wear costumes out nowadays, the Halloween spirit will always be there with the people to celebrate. Along with the costume, carving pumpkins is a great activity to do during quarantine.

These are great ways to get creative, bond with family and a way to pass time. Another fun activity to do is baking fall treats or making fall drinks. As we all know, pumpkin is a big part of the fall. There are plenty of desserts that can be made from pumpkins: for example, pumpkin pies and pumpkin lattes. Baking is a great activity to do since outdoor activity has been limited. While enjoying the treats we made, we can also cuddle up in a blanket to watch Halloween movies. Watching Halloween movies really makes fall seem like it’s here, and it’s a great way to put fall into spirits. Lastly, decorating the house with fall decorations. Decorating the room with pumpkins and leaves will only make quarantine more fun and the house more festive. Angela Zhang, a junior at SMHS, said, “ I am so excited to get into the fall spirits and start decorating for Halloween.” So even though we are stuck in quarantine, there are plenty of activities to do during this fall to make it festive and enjoyable. Which activity do you want to try?
